- Royal Grand Palace: Royal Grand Palace: In 1782, the new King decided to move the capital city to the left bank of the Chao Phraya River for strategic reasons and used the canals to the west as defenses for the new city. A palace was built whose grounds currently cover an area of 218,000 square meters that are surrounded by crenellated walls measuring 19,000 meters. Similar to the palaces of the ancient capitals of the Sukhothai and AyudhayaThis palace is also designed with Residence Halls and Throne Rooms, as well as administrative buildings and a temple that serves as the Royal Chapel.
- Wat Pho: It is a first class Royal Temple and is an ancient temple that King Rama I the Great ordered to be built for monks to study the Dharma. This is the temple of the reign of King Rama I the Great. During the reign of King Rama III, the king graciously renewed Wat Pho and brought academic texts in different fields to be inscribed around the temple in order to spread knowledge among the people. It is considered the first university in Thailand. In addition, Wat Pho has a large reclining Buddha image that was built during the reign of the king.
