Important Update: Temporary Closure of Maya Bay
From August 1 through September 30, Maya Bay will be closed to allow for the ecological recovery of the area. During this period, efforts are being made to restore and protect the marine and coastal ecosystem, which has been affected by mass tourism. This measure seeks to ensure that the local flora and fauna recover properly and that the natural environment can be enjoyed in a sustainable manner in the future. In addition, this closure coincides with the monsoon season, which contributes to less pressure on the environment and favors recovery conditions.
However, don't worry if you have plans to visit the Phi Phi Islands. Although Maya Bay will not be accessible, you can still explore the wonders of this amazing archipelago. Previously, the visit to Maya Bay was limited to 30 minutes, and the time at this stop did not allow swimming at the beach. Now, this time will be divided among the other stops, allowing you to enjoy other wonders of the Phi Phi Islands.
The Phi Phi Islands offer much more than Maya Bay. You can visit fantastic beaches, explore breathtaking snorkeling spots and enjoy the magnificent Pileh Bay. Here, you can swim and jump off the boat, as well as swim in one of the most beautiful and refreshing areas of the archipelago. The Phi Phi Islands experience is still spectacular and full of surprises!
